We start the class choosing a pattern from our extensive library or discussing your own design.

Once your pattern and cartoon is finalised, a glass cutting demonstration is followed by plenty of practice - cutting curves, waves and straight lines. There are cutters in many styles - choose the one you are most comfortable with. For more complex designs we use a ring saw and a core drill.

Now you start your project, cutting the glass and grinding pieces to fit your cartoon. This will take up the rest of day 1.

Day 2 is focused on making up your panel - wrapping your glass pieces in adhesive copper foil tape and laying up, ready for soldering on both sides of the panel. Or fitting glass into lead came, then soldering and cementing.

As classes are limited to a maximum of 4 students, you will receive plenty of help and individual attention.
