What Our Students Say

Why should you come to Exemplar Glass for tuition?
We are well equipped, friendly, knowledgeable, provide good notes (and lunches) and limit class sizes to 4 students. This gives our students plenty of individual tuition and means no long queues for equipment. Still not convinced?

“Many thanks for a thoroughly enjoyable weekend. The course far exceeded any other that I have been on in the past. I will certainly be back for more tuition from you.

My husband is very impressed with the panels. His next project will be to make a frame for them! Look forward to seeing you soon.”

Pam

“Thank you once again for the course this weekend. It has inspired me - particularly the fusing. Also the food you provided was very enjoyable - with the treats such as the cream tea!"
Cathy

“I just wanted to thank you very much for the exciting, stimulating and supportive tuition over this last weekend. I loved the medium and very much appreciated your approach to tuition, and your energy levels...............

I will also definitely be coming to make a sink splashback and am already thinking long and hard about how I want it to look”

Lesley

“Thank you so much for a wonderful week end. I was very pleased with the beadmaking course, and pleased with the progress I made thanks to your excellent and very patient tuition. Thank you also for your help and encouragement regarding tools and materials, I really feel that I have gained enough of a knowledge of the basics to carry on practising and experimenting. I can't wait to get my torch and bench set up!
Thank you also for the wonderful food and hospitality. It was all an experience I can thoroughly recommend.”
Clare

“Thank you so much for opening your studio and home for the beadmaking course this weekend. I gained a huge amount from the course and I am inspired now to continue with my new hobby! The course was informative, thorough and well planned and gave me the opportunity to try out numerous techniques with fabulous guidance from Diana and yourself.
Many thanks again, and I look forward to booking another course with you next year!”
Vikki

“Thanks again to you and Diana for your training and hospitality at the weekend. I have been showing off my beads and my friends and family are very impressed… I have ordered a couple of books and I am starting the research into supplies - I will let you know if I need any help with sourcing anything – thanks once again.”
Amanda

“Hi Jane, what a great time i had making the glass bowl and light. I can hardly wait to pick them up now they have been fired. I've told loads of people about my day spent with you and my lovely lunch we had included in the class price, you must advertise that fact. Thanks again”

Carole.

“sorry I wasn't in when you came round with the dish, it’s beautiful, thanks for all your advice and assistance I would definitely do it again, can you keep me informed of any courses or days that you are having, many thanks”

Mary

“I have just been looking at your website and see that things are moving on and you are expanding your range of courses.
I see you do a 5 day fusing workshop for beginners. Do you have any more of these planned for Jan/Feb? Thanks”

Amanda

“Thank you so much for taking me through the steps. I thoroughly enjoyed the course, and I am very glad I did it. Both you and Diana are excellent teachers and without your patience, knowledge and skill I would have struggled, also it was fun.

Working with the lead to create the stained glass piece was the highlight of my weekend. Jane, I could not have created this beautiful object without your help and guidance, thank you for giving me this opportunity for a new and exciting start. I know that there is so much left to learn and try and hope that as I continue that I can pop by for future courses…"

“Thanks ever so much for posting the information through - I'm keen to make another window so, so that's really helpful. I loved making the window, and enjoyed every bit of the weekend.”

Fiona

“Thank you very much for such an enjoyable time last week. I really enjoyed the workshop - particularly making the picture at the end. Thanks for your help and it was nice to meet the other partipants. I will be back when I have run out of ideas!"

“I wanted to say thank you so much for a very enjoyable weekend. It was a lovely relaxed and friendly atmosphere and I felt like we achieved a lot during the two days.
I was really excited about seeing the result of the second days work so it was great that you emailed the pictures. Thank you for encouraging me to try different things – the result is pretty good and inspires me to want to do more."
Amanda (second visit)

“What a wonderful experience, watching glass rods turn into beautiful beads. I am indeed hooked and will certainly be in touch to come over to Leominster again."

Jillian.

“Very good to hear from you. You take so much trouble for everyone. I much appreciate it and what a thrill to see the glass panel. I'm so pleased I found you when I bought that particular copy of the Craftsman magazine.
I hope it isn't too long before I see you again. I want to do a few small pieces of jewellery that I've been dreaming about.
I'm reading your notes which are excellent.
Thanks,”

I had a really good time a learned so much thanks to you and Diana”

“You can certainly tell 'warm glass' that I have spent the most wonderful times with you and intend returning again and again! In fact I can email them myself when I have time.”

Ann

“…like I needed another excuse. All I am trying to decide is what to have a bash at next! Instead of all this up at the crack of dawn lark I think I will be making a proper weekend of it all next time.”

Kerry (second visit)

“In November 2006 I attended a Beadmaking Weekend workshop in Leominster. This valuable course was held at Exemplar Glass (www.exemplar-glass.co.uk) and run by Diana Arseneau. I was so inspired that I have now started making my own torch fired glass beads."
